She’s got a diva reputation but Lea Michele tells this week’s Closer magazine she loves nothing more than cooking for her workmates.
With the second season finally back on our screens, Glee’s leading lady Lea Michele, aka Rachel Berry, says the show is her 'dream come true.'
But while the 24-year-old former child actress – she’s been on stage and appearing in ads since she was eight – has already gained a reputation for being a 'diva', she insists nothing could be further from the truth.
She said: 'If we all didn’t love each other as much as we do then it would be really hard, but I get to work with my best friends. I think that makes everything so enjoyable no matter what we’re doing.'
Lea explained: 'I love having my cast members over, inviting them over to my house. I’ve been known to bake cookies for my crew and bring them to work.'
Lea puts her reputation down to her portrayal of her ambitious character.
She mused: 'Her passion for performing is very similar to mine as well as her determination. Sometimes when people see a woman who’s very determined and knows what she wants they label her as something negative.'
A size 6, vegan Lea has lost weight and undergone an amazing style transformation since she started on Glee. But she claims she doesn’t diet, even though she had admitted it in the past.
She explained: 'I’ll have a big Italian dinner, and don’t give a crap because it makes me happy.'
She keeps fit doing yoga, running and rock-climbing, but reveals she doesn’t want to conform to a certain look.
Lea added: 'I’m honoured to be a role model for young girls, showing them that they don’t need to get that nose job and don’t need to look exactly like all the other girls in class.'
