Dancer’s Body Dismembered, buried in Cement

As if finding the Las Vegas Showgirl dead weren’t bad enough for the family of Debora Flores-Narvaez; now they find that her body was brutally mutilated. Ex-boyfriend, Jason Griffith, was charged Friday with the murder of Flores-Narvaez. Her sister made an odd statement yesterday stating that she prayed “that wasn’t Debora’s body.”

The body of Flores-Narvaez was found in two plastic tubs, dismembered and covered in cement. The tubs were discovered in an apartment near Bonanza Road and Las Vegas Boulevard. A tip led police to the body. Details and identification of the person that led the police to Flores-Narvaez have yet to be released. It is believed that the informant was a female acquaintance of Griffith and Flores-Narvaez.

Several reports of domestic violence had been attached to the couple. At one time, Flores-Narvaez stated she was pregnant and that she and her baby were in danger. Oddly, she informed her mother in her last text that “if something happened to her, to contact Griffith.” The body appears to have been mutilated on December 15th.

An acquaintance of Griffith told police that the alleged murderer and his roommate, Louis Colombo “tried to leave Flores-Narvaez’s body, which was cemented in a plastic tub at her residence.” The woman told police that she hesitated to alert authorities because she feared Colombo. Colombo was questioned on Friday about the disappearance of the dancer.

Friday, Colombo told police about Flores-Narvaez’s disappearance. Colombo stated that Flores-Narvaez came to the residence he shared with Griffith. At one point Colombo said he “had to pull Griffith off of Flores-Narvaez because he was choking her with his hands around her neck.” When Colombo returned to the house, Griffith led him to the body of the dancer.

Griffith and Colombo mixed concrete and poured it over Flores-Narvaez’s body in a plastic tub. The following day, they rented a U-Haul truck and stored the container in an apartment in Henderson. The apartment wasn’t safe, so the two removed the body once again to another friend’s apartment. The tub began leaking and the two bought new plastic tubs, a sledge hammer, handsaw and cleaning supplies from a local Wal-Mart.

The two allegedly broke Flores-Narvaez out of the concrete and dismembered her body before placing the pieces in two separate tubs, filling those containers with concrete. They sealed the apartment and left the tools in a separate area away from the body. After interviewing Colombo, the police found the dancer for the Luxor Hotel as stated. Griffith told police that the murder “was not a premeditated thing.”
