Nielsen Soundscan and Billboard have released their year-end numbers, and according to their counts Taylor SwiftTaylor Swift is the best-selling artist of 2010. She sold in total 4,47 million albums in 2010, more than 100,000 units ahead of the second best-selling artist of the past year: EminemEminem. Taylor's album Speak Now was also the best-selling Internet album of 2010.
Nielsen Soundscan has been tracking album sales digitally since 1991, and has released sales figures every year since then. In his stats, Garth BrooksGarth Brooks is still the biggest selling artist of the Soundscan era, selling more than 68.5 million albums sold, ABC News Radio reports.
